This small cobblestone alley is overflowing with Kyoto-esque beauty. During cherry blossom season (end of March - beginning of April), glowing evening lights create a fantastic atmosphere that can't be missed.
Known as "Gion's cherry blossom", this park is home to a famous weeping cherry tree. The current cherry blossom trees were planted in 1949 and represent the second generation of trees in this park. Every year during spring (end of March - beginning of April) there are special evening illumination events, and many visitors come to the park to enjoy a traditional "Hanami" (cherry blossom viewing) picnic.
