Set up by students of Kyoto University, Genius Table is a unique event promoting exchange between Kyoto residents and specialist visitors from abroad. Professional from all kinds of fields such as arts, science, education or business, are invited to join young students and residents from Kyoto to share stories, knowledge and ideas.
Every event takes place at a different, unique location that is symbolizes Kyoto, such as a Buddhist temple, a traditional machiya or the banks of Kamogawa River. With small groups of up to eight people everyone gets a chance to join the conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. During the two hour long event, every participant gets a lunchbox filled with specialties from Kyoto. Events are held in English and free for speakers.
