May Digital & Experiential Event at the historic kabuki Theatre

Brand-new Japanese festival will be held at the Minamiza Theatre!

This May digital & experiential event “KYOTO MIRAI MATSURI 2019” will be held at the historic kabuki theatre with over 400 years of history in Kyoto, Minamiza Teatre!

From May 12th to May 25th, the day will be divided into two different events called the “HIRUMATSURI” (“Daytime program”) and the “YORUMATSURI” (“Nighttime program”).

In both “HIRUMATSURI” and “YORUMATSURI”, a “cooling waterfall” using real water will be seen on the stage.
You will be captivated by the Japanese-themed projection mapping onto the waterfall created by NAKED Inc.
You can also enjoy exclusive foods and drinks, and playing at the digital festival stalls.
During the period, you can experience face/body painting with designs based on kabuki’s traditional makeup using real kabuki cosmetics.

In the daytime “HIRUMATSURI” offers the kabuki-themed experiential exhibits the cutting-edge digital technology.

At night “YORUMATSURI”, the theatre will be filled with music played by the DJs. As you have fun eating, drinking, and playing at the digital festival stalls in this extraordinary space, you will be able to enjoy night life in a classy ambience.
